Pavago is an offshore recruitment company that helps small and medium-sized businesses source global talent in operations, marketing, sales, and more. Founded in 2022, Pavago is fully remote, with 15 team members in Latin America, Europe, Asia, and the United States. In addition to using Plane to hire and pay its team members, Pavago also refers its own clients to Plane for their international HR and payroll needs.
Parker Cox, Pavago’s CEO and co-founder, is based in Meridian, Idaho. As he began hiring team members outside of the U.S., Parker looked for an international payroll solution and came across Plane. When choosing the right HR and payroll solution, Parker says, “Compliance was really important to me. With offshore recruitment, there are different layers of rules and regulations. There’s an organizational component that’s different, and then there’s the cultural understanding. For example, the expectations of a contractor in Colombia versus a teammate in England, versus a teammate in Pakistan, can create challenges that make it harder for the company to mandate singular processes.” He continues, “The Plane team have been strategic advisors,” underscoring their role in helping Pavago navigate these complexities.
He also values Plane's security and compliance features. Of the companies he considered working with, “Plane was easily the most compliant.” Parker especially appreciates that Pavago’s funds are processed in their own name instead of Plane’s: “Plane isn’t in possession of the funds and they’re in a separate bank account [from Plane’s].”

As a three-time co-founder and an active member of the bootstrapping community, Parker sought an HR and payroll partner who understands the needs of a bootstrapped business. He says, “Plane was a kindred spirit. It’s very important for me as a bootstrapped business to have companies that understand agility and that are able to adjust processes.” He highlights the value of having direct access to Plane’s leaders. For example, Plane’s founders are happy to chat directly with all customers. From the start, Parker says, “We could speak to [Plane’s CRO and co-founder] Staszek and had direct access to your team. The fact that we have real access to decision-makers when necessary is extremely important. We really appreciate having that level of access.”
Both Parker and his Chief of Staff Bilal Shahid appreciate Plane’s responsive support team. Parker says, “The biggest criteria that sealed the deal for Plane with us was your support.” Bilal adds, “The Plane team has been super supportive. From talking to [Payment Operations Specialist] Vanessa about a query related to a contractor, to talking to [Customer Support Specialist] Ebony about a client, my experience with them has been remarkable. The responsiveness of the support team has been a real standout. Their responses are prompt, and whenever I need help, I just have a conversation with them on chat.”
Plane’s automated payroll has also saved hours of time for the Pavago team when it comes to running payroll for both Pavago’s own team and for their clients. “The fact that we can have payroll for about 100 people manually processed in 30 to 45 minutes a month is pretty impressive,” says Parker. He also appreciates how quickly team members can be onboarded: “Once your company’s onboarded, you can add additional people almost instantaneously. It feels very frictionless.”
Overall, Parker looks forward to building on Pavago’s partnership with Plane: “We’re big fans of Plane. We built an entire partnership with a key part of our service offering for all of our clients with Plane. It was a big decision, but we really feel we have a positive relationship and are excited for the future.”
