We’ve made major improvements to streamline the onboarding process for your entire team. Admins and new hires can work in parallel, you can see real-time previews (including greater visibility for international [EOR] employees), and every task is visible from start to finish, so progress is always clear.
The new onboarding experience is available for all new Plane customers and has already been released for some existing customers, with all customers receiving access in the coming weeks.
New hires get up and running faster
Onboarding is now quicker and more straightforward for both admins and new hires, thanks to several improvements:

Immediate invitation: New hires are now immediately invited to Plane when onboarding starts, so admins don’t need to take the extra step of sending an invite.
Less manual work: Tasks have been consolidated, and whenever possible, forms are pre-filled automatically.
Admins can step in when needed: Admins can optionally complete certain tasks on behalf of new hires to keep things moving, when needed.
Clear checklists: Tasks are grouped by theme into easy-to-follow checklists and labeled by owner, so everyone knows exactly what to do next.
Real-time previews: See previews in real-time, including compensation calculations and first paychecks, so you have what you need to make decisions without having to ask questions or wait on Plane.
Greater EOR visibility and actions: Admins can see much more detail when onboarding an employer of record (EOR) employee and take action directly in the platform, including reviewing and approving estimated employer taxes and estimated total annual costs; authorizing security deposit amounts; and seeing 13th and 14th month pay options. No need for back and forth with Plane’s team!
Track and manage onboardings with full visibility

Stay on top of every onboarding without chasing updates. Admins can see the status of every task assigned to a new hire, so you know exactly what’s outstanding. All tasks are visible from the start, so you know what’s coming next, and completed tasks remain visible for reference.
