Wyoming may be the least populous state in the U.S. but it is also one of the most popular. Every year, millions of visitors flock to Wyoming to visit the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone National Park, and the Wind River Wilderness. The lucky people who call the Equality State home experience long winters but enjoy endless opportunities for outdoor recreation and breathtaking scenery all year round. Chances are, if your next employee is a Wyomingite, they won’t want to leave. Fortunately, in this era of remote work, collaborating across state lines is easy.Bringing on a new employee can be exciting, but there’s often a lot to do as well. You want to onboard your new hire as quickly and smoothly as possible to ensure their success at your organization. Register your business in Wyoming in two easy steps:

  1. First, you’ll need to register with the Wyoming Department of Workforce Services through their online registration form. You can also register for your Workers’ Compensation account through this form.
  2. Next, you’ll need to fill out the Out of State Employer Questionnaire, and email, fax, or mail it back to the Department of Workforce Services.
Your registration won’t be processed until the Department of Workforce Services has received both your registration form and your questionnaire. You’ll receive your Unemployment Insurance Account Number three months after registering. Wyoming has no state income tax, so you do not need to register for withholding taxes.Once you’ve received your Account Number, you’ll be able to register new employees, file wage reports, and submit unemployment taxes online.
