Register your business in Texas in two easy steps:

  1. First, you’ll need to create an account with the Texas Workforce Commission.
  2. Once you’ve created your account, you can apply for a new tax account.
You should receive your tax account number immediately after applying. Texas has no income tax, so you don’t need to register for withholding taxes.Once you’ve been assigned your tax account number, you’ll be able to register new employees, file wage reports, and submit unemployment taxes online.
